** HW should be done each night for practice and learning. We will correct HW in class and review questions, as always. HW grades will not be collected for the 4th quarter. We will have a test every Friday, every week. These test grades will constitute your 4th quarter grade. **

Please take note of these very important year-end dates regarding math testing...
Math placement tests for rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes for 2018-2019 will be held during math classes on both Thursday and Friday June 14 - 15, 2018. There are no alternate / make up dates or times.
Mon, June 4: Lesson 117 on Pythagorean Theorem
HW tonight L 117 5-12, 18-30
Tues, June 5: HW L 119 1-30 due Thursday
Wed, June 6: Test through L 112 (10 questions to be finished during study hall if not during class)
Mon, June 11: Definition Test. Multiple choice and/or matching that encompasses formulas, equations, definitions and terms that we learned this year.
Thurs June 14 and Fri June 15: Math placement test for 2018-2019 school year. Your performance on this 2 day test, along with the following criteria, will determine what math class you are placed in for 8th grade:
1. 7th Grade Report Card (quarterly and final math grades)
2. Scantron Testing
3. Teacher recommendation (Mrs McGraw)
The math placement test does NOT affect your 4th quarter grade. It is simply for placement purposes.

Monday - Score cards due today. Make a solutions manual for 20A (problems 1-20). Do you need to reread any lessons? Which problems do you have questions about? Those doing the extra credit -- don't forget that it is due tomorrow!
HW: Read Lesson 108, p. 754. Do Practice Set.
Turn in your math book tomorrow.
Tuesday - Turn in math books. Review for Test. HW: Study for test.
Wednesday - Test 20B. It is optional to do the other part at home if you want me to use that score to replace one from earlier in the year that you scored lower on. Make a solutions manual for it. Circle answers and transfer answers. Turn in tomorrow.
Thursday - Math assessment.
Friday - Math assessment.
- It must be orderly and easy to read.
- There must be no more than 6 problems on each page.
- The lessons must be in chronological order.
- The lesson number must be written at the beginning of each lesson.
- The date must be included.
- The problems must be clearly numbered, and the problems must be done in chronological order.
- Students should fold their pages to make margins.
- All work must be shown.
- Work should be done in pencil.
- The answer to each problem must be circled with a pen that is colored (such as red, blue, pink, green, etc.), so that the answer is easy to find in the midst of all the other numbers on the page!
- Students must maintain a scorecard at the back of their notebook and update it every time we check math.
- The scorecard must include the following information: Lesson, total # of problems, # of problems correct (once we have checked the lesson), # of problems incorrect (once we have checked the lesson), a space for the percent, the date. - Scorecards must be written in black ink that will show up when the scorecard is photocopied. Pencil will not show up when photocopied.
