Saint Ignatius of Loyola (Founder of the Society of Jesus) gives us a perfect way to EXAMINE OUR CONSCIENCE each evening with this special prayer called THE EXAMEN.
5 simple steps to review each day in preparation for a better tomorrow!
Examine your conscience daily. It's a great "daily prep" for a weekly/monthly Confession routine.
Thank you Saint Ignatius for your Spiritual Exercises!
The Holy Souls need our prayers all year round, not just during the month of November. It is widely thought that more souls are released from Purgatory on CHRISTMAS DAY than any other day. Pray! Pray! Pray! Everyday!
Prayer of Saint Gertrude the Great
Eternal Father, I offer thee the Most Precious Blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, for those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
Our Lord promised Saint Gertrude that He would release 1000 souls every time this prayer was said. Please pray for the Church Suffering, the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

As a means of sanctifying our day (making our day holy), we pause at noon to offer the Angelus.
The Angelus V: The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. R: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. V: Behold the handmaid of the Lord. R: Be it done unto me according to Thy word. Hail Mary . . . V: And the Word was made Flesh. R: And dwelt among us. Hail Mary . . . V: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. R: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. A little note on virtue:
A virtue is an operative habit which perfects a power of the soul and disposes one toward good actions --St. Thomas Aquinas. “A virtue is a firm and habitual disposition to do the good. It allows the person not only to perform good acts, but to give the best of himself.” The virtuous person “pursues the good and chooses it in concrete actions”. CCC 1803.
